Telesensory Sales Representative Gives Local Agency New Hope

Rick Serey, of the Medina, Ohio area has sold Telesensory video magnifiers through The Visual Tech Connection for 17 years. His reputation for outstanding salesmanship continues into the new millennium, with a focus on customer service and delivering quality products.

Serey donated seven working units to a low vision support group called Friends-N-Focus. The organization will distribute the machines to people in the low vision community, who could not otherwise afford to purchase a reading device.

"My target users do not work, so they don’t qualify for state-sponsored assistance," says Don Kalman, Vice President at Friends-N-Focus. "It’s wonderful to be able to help someone." The users vary from people in their mid-20’s to seniors. "I found out about Telesensory on the Internet, and pursued the opportunity through their local representative in Ohio," says Kalman.

"I was very pleased to help, because I’m aware that there are many people with low vision who cannot afford to purchase decent equipment. It was a pleasure to provide these units to the organization, knowing that they will make sure that they are put to good use by people who cannot afford to purchase new units on their own. Among the units donated were two VTEK Voyagers (12" black and white units), three Telesensory Vantages (14" black and white models), and two Telesensory Voyager XLs (19" black and white models.) All units were produced from 1987-1994. The donation is comprised of upgraded units that traded
